Former nurse turned medium takes to the stage

A former nurse turned psychic medium is to host a special event in her native North East.

Debra Chalmers from Spennymoor, will be live at the Royal Station Hotel, Newcastle on January 10, 2013.

The 37 year-old, who quit her £50,000 a year job with the NHS to communicate with spirits full time, first realised she had a gift when she saw dead people walking through the hospital in 1999.

Despite having experienced visions since she was a toddler, this was the first time Debra really understood the benefit of her abilities and saw them as a blessing rather than a curse.

Since then she has devoted her life to helping the dead cross over to the other world and communicate with the loved ones they have left behind.

Her event at the Royal Station Hotel, adjoining Newcastle Central Station, will see Debra interacting with the spirit world and putting them in touch with audience members.

Debra said: “I first realised I had psychic abilities when I was three years old but at the time they seemed frightening.  As I got older I began to appreciate it more and realised during my time as a nurse that I could really bring comfort to those on both sides.

“Now I spend my time passing on messages from those that have passed to their bereaved friends and relatives and am looking forward to doing so at the Royal Station Hotel.”

An Evening with Debra Chalmers at the Royal Station Hotel will begin at 7.30pm on January 10, with doors opening at 6.45pm.  Tickets, priced at £10, can be ordered in advance or bought on the door, subject to availability.
