Last Friday Northumbria Student Union was transformed and played host to a glamorous fashion affair as part of NE1’s Newcastle Fashion Week. Katy Dobinson found out more
Frock n Roll one of the first events of its kind outside London was a star studded music and fashion event featuring four live bands and with four top brands in a live catwalk performance.
Presented by the enthusiastic and energetic Adam Child of T4 and MTV, the evening got off to a bright start with spring/summer pieces by Reiss accompanied by the highly acclaimed Karima Francis.
Next up was Lulu James who performed alongside on trend summer florals and lace by Warehouse. The pace was swiftly picked up with models stomping down the catwalk in Urban Outfitters latest collection to an electric set by Newcastle’s very own Polarsets.
Finally the evening was rounded up with a DJ set by highly acclaimed Frankie and the Heartstrings who played alongside summer metalics and pastels by French Connection.
Speaking to Adam Child after the event he said “I love Newcastle – there is such a buzz about the place. I would love to come back and present again next year!”
