Brides and grooms flocked to etc magazine’s wedding show.
The event at Northumberland’s Linden Hall was hailed a success by organisers with more than 200 guests turning up – with everyone being treated to free drink, a bridal goody bag and a fabulous fashion show.
Bride-to-be Catherine Hay, from Ashington, attended the show with her mum and three bridesmaids.
The 30-year-old, who ties the knot with David Hancock, 41, in August 2014, said: “The event was fantastic. The venue is beautiful and there’s a good range of things on the stalls. I have got some great ideas for my wedding, such as the sweetie skewers for the kids. The etc goody bags are fantastic too.”
Exhibitors included everything from wedding cars and cakes to bridal gowns and mother-of-the-bride outfits. Stunning floral designs, impressive wedding albums and children’s entertainment were also showcased on the day.
Exhibitor James Wilde, owner of Jesmond-based ReVamp Clinic, offered women advice on how they can look a million dollars on their big day.
He said: “It was a cracking day, well attended and highly professional.”
Two catwalk shows were held during the day and a bevy of beauties from Headline Models strutted their stuff.
Wedding singer Anthony Stringer performed a number of crooning classics.
Georga Spottiswood, editor of the Sunderland Echo lifestyle magazine, said: “It was our first wedding event in the Northumberland area and what a day it was. Linden Hall was the perfect setting. It really was an amazing day and great to see so many happy couples walking through the door.”
etc’s next free wedding show is on March 24 at Rockliffe Hall, near Darlington, from noon to 4pm. Register online for your free ticket, goody bag and chance to win a helicopter ride, courtesy of Northumbria Helicopters. Visit www.etcnortheast.co.uk.
